It’s really easy to pick up an affordable air compressor at the local shop any longer. But, how will you get the air from the compressor to your application? Folks that are plumbing up compressed air lines for their garages or training seminars at home, as well as the expert plant person, have a variety of options with which to do connect the different air-lines available to them.

Commercial installs of compressed air may have a large general objective compressed air filtration system in the compressor release, then a filtration system, regulator and sometimes an in-line lubricator (oiler) at each of the points where the compressed air will be utilized, to aid deal with compressor produced water.

The regulator will provide the opportunity to manage pressure from the air to that particular specific application. You might want 90 PSI of air to perform a grinding machine at one drop line, but further along the bench you might only want 12 PSI for an air clean color set up. When able to supply compressed air to your tool, you just place your air-line extension power cord connector in to the drop line coupler, as well as the opposite end, which will be a coupler, has the air device connector placed into it.

Connections and couplers usually are not the same. Various producers have differing styles plus they are not usually exchangeable. When you first begin buying couplers and connections to your air line, create a note in the brand initially purchased, and purchase exactly the same brand name as your requirements keep on.

Keep in mind that Pvc material or RVC air garden hose size is measure in the I.D. A 1/2″ air garden hose may have a 1/2″ I.D., no matter the O.D. in the line. Various air line producers could have hose with various wall density, so the external diameters will vary.

To connect PVC or RVC air hose together, you can use the aforementioned couplers and connections. Usually the coupler and connector features a “barbed” men protrusion, though other designs are definitely available. Make sure the “barb” scale of the coupler / connector corresponds with the inner diameter of your air hose. A gear clamp (do your favour and purchase stainless-steel clamps over carbon steel. Right after placement in the “barb” the equipment clamp is introduced the air hose, on the region where the “barb” is placed, and tightened firmly.
